On August 1, 1987, Tangerine Dream gave a memorable concert onthe Platz der Republik, right in front of the Reichstag in Berlin, aspart of the city's 750th anniversary celebrations. With over 100, 000spectators, the concert took place near the Berlin Wall, symbolizingthe division of Germany. The group's electronic music, accompaniedby spectacular visuals and fireworks, created a unique experience.Rumor has it that people in East Germany could even hear the event.
